2010 NZ Air Guitar Champs Results

The 2010 New Zealand Air Guitar Champion is...

2nd place went to defending NZ champion,

'Louis Ewen' aka 'Gat Rockin Randy Reaper' (Auckland) - pictured left

3rd place went to 2008 NZ Champion,

'Michael Bancroft' aka 'The Ginge Shreddor' (Auckland) - pictured left

Ten of NZ's finest air guitar talent took to the stage to find the greatest guitarist in New Zealand who never played at the 2010 NZ Grand Final on Friday night (30-4-10) at the 'Vesbar', Auckland City.

In what will go down as one of the tightest contests to date, the 2010 champ was decided by an 'air guitar off' due to both 'The Hellmutt Experience' (2006 NZ Champ) & 'Gat Rockin Randy Reaper' (2009 NZ Champ) tying for first place.

'Hellmutt' came out on top taking out the air guitar off and in turn the title for 2010 and the major prize of a trip for one, including airfares & accommodation, to Australia to attend & compete in the 2010 AUSTRALIAN & NEW ZEALAND Grand Final.
